Like Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell (nee Claude Moine) was a French rockabilly fan whose career stretched on for decades and decades. Mitchell's first band, was one of France's best early rock groups; later Mitchell mined both rockabilly and soul, and inexorably was drawn into singing softer pop vocals, and later went into film.
